A ticket to view the Masterpieces from the Musee National Picasso Exhibit this June at San Francisco's De Young Museum! I know exhibition tickets are expected to sell out, so get yours early. I believe general tickets go on sale beginning May 11. As a member, I've been lucky enough to reserve mine. The image below is a picture of me at the impressive Art Institute in Chicago. I've manage to forget the sculptor's name, but the large painting is a Picasso of course!
Watching...
The season 6 premiere of Doctor Who!! T'was bloody brilliant & I can't wait for part 2 this Saturday! I became a fan of this show quite late, having only really gotten into it for about a year now. That said, I've watched about every episode I could possibly get my hands on. I must say I love the current eleventh doctor! Matt Smith portrays an older soul with a youthful energy that is just really refreshing to watch on screen. The supporting cast is also stellar. I cannot wait to find out more about River Song's story! But the biggest shocker for me so far is Amy's "announcement"... I should have seen it coming, but it still made my jaw drop! Saturday please hurry & come quickly...

A ton of flea ridding products! My dogs managed to attract fleas and I have been busy trying to rid them & my house of the annoying bastards!! Poor things have scratching and biting themselves like crazy. They're even on antibiotics to help with their healing skin. I've had these prickly sensations up and down my body the past few days. I'm hoping it will turn out to be just my mind playing games and not actually fleas crawling about my person!
More importantly Mother's Day in the US is coming up and I've come up with the perfect gift for my mother! Ever since I took my mom to an exhibit on Impressionist Art featuring Edgar Degas, she's fallen in love with his ballet themed paintings. The Dancing Class being her favorite, I bought her a canvas print of it. I'm waiting for its delivery to come in this week. Of course, I couldn't buy her something art related and not pick up something that tickled my fancy as well... so along with Degas' Dancing Class, I'm waiting for an art print copy of Van Gogh's Starry Night Over the Rhone.

Planning...
A possible to trip to Iceland and Peru with my cousin and brothers respectively. I've got two trips (Montreal and London) planned this year that I really do hope they come to fruition, so Iceland and Peru will hopefully then be a part of my 2012 calendar. Haven't been on a proper holiday with just my cousins and my brothers, so it should prove to be an interesting trip to say the least.

Of course that wasn't just my week... I've been studying up on Baroque Art, with an emphasis on Caravaggio. I've finally had a much needed catch up with friends over some cheese and watching Deathly Hallows special features. I've started taking long errand related walks with my dogs. I've also been doing loads of laundry trying to keep those blasted dog fleas at bay. On that note, I'm off to spray and disinfect my poor bedroom!
